Rhino Barge
The Rhino barge was a long, wide floating platform, built of steel pontoons joined together by steel angle irons. The larger barges had up to a a 500 ton capacity. This powered barge transported vehicles and supplies from moored vessels to the beach, and were also called "rhino ferries" and "rhino tugs" for the smaller barges.
